The engagement is one of the most beautiful memories you will have at this beginning of this journey that you are on as a couple.  But many of you are thinking, ok now I’m engaged, what’s next?  Truly the first thing you should consider is your budget and your guest list.  Those two things are the most important things you will need as you go to visit venues or start talking to vendors.

Have this conversation with your parents and with each other so everyone knows what type of wedding you two want together.  Are you looking to have a small ceremony and reception?  A destination wedding?  Do you have 300 people to invite?  Getting everyone on the same page seems like it would be difficult, but trust me that it is much better to have everyone on board with what you two want before you start booking any of your vendors or seeing any venues that may be in the back of your head already.
