Simply & Forever – Elegant Decay #14
Written By Katie
I have been dying to share with you on this exciting Wednesday Wednesday a Blog around the world idea, cooked up by Valley & Co, one that will surely become one of the best Wedding Wednesdays of all time! So join all of us in the #TWIPS and #ElegantDecay blogosphere on an AMAZING treasure hunt today!
What makes a great party you ask? To me you need to ask yourself what kind of experience do you want your guests to have? Turning your personalities and loves in life into a party that everyone will enjoy can mean anything from the food that is served, the music that is playing, to the visual elements of the day like linens, paper goods and flowers.
In my Elegant Decay picture that I get to share with you all below, I picture an intimate table of friends sharing stories over a glass of wine and food. Light dinner music has been playing but now that dinner is over, it starts transitioning into fun and energetic music that everyone wants to jump up and dance to. But you KNOW they are coming back that very first dance break in order to try that tasty chocolate cake! (we all know me and chocolate so that is for sure a definite!) To me this is an event that will always be remembered by your guests, and this table just captures that warmness and the love completely.
To help describe the concept between this day of Elegant Decay, here is more from the designers themselves!

I’m w/ Kate ..I was waiting for someone to mention music!! ps cant get over how good that cake looks
i love picking up on more and more detail as the day goes on! never noticed that luscious chocolate curtain before. great touch!
After all that wine, surely someone has to be dancing! Great post!
Love this! And love what you said about the table capturing the warmth and love completely!
I like how you imagine this table has just been deserted for some good dancing on some good tunes but that they will all eventually return to enjoy more conversation!
I just love how this all unfolded and really love your take on this!
;)) This is really fun!!
