Eventology 2010 Recap
Written By Katie
Last week I spent three days in beautiful Indianapolis at the Eventology 2010 conference. Katasha Butler of K. Sherrie + Company has organized this fabulous conference for the past two years and it did not disappoint. It was so great to meet some of the people that I have talked to via Twitter in the past six months, and meet many more in the industry that I was so excited to learn from. Below are the majority of the speakers from the conference, and I can tell you my to-do list for the business coming out of each of these ladies’ sessions is unbelievable. But in a very good way because everything they told us is meant to help us grow, to educate, and in turn being there for that education makes us better planners for our clients back here at home. I am excited to use the knowledge that I came home with and to continue the friendships with each of these fabulous ladies (and gentlemen) as the year continues.

Picture of some of the Eventology 2010 Speakers: Sasha Souza from Sasha Souza Events, Katasha Butler of K. Sherrie + Company, Terrica Skaggs from Cocktails & Details, Lara Casey from Lara Casey Reps and Southern Weddings magazine, Harmony Walton from The Bridal Bar, Saundra Hadley from Planning Forever (not pictured), NaShara Mitchell from Ready to Blush (not pictured), , Linnyette Richardson-Hall (aka-Shaniqua Alize’ Jenkins) from Premiere Event Management and Ali Phillips from Engaging Events by Ali (both not pictured)
So of course we are event planners, so we had gorgeous flowers in every ballroom we were in, and little details that us planners go crazy over. (Wait until you see the chocolates we had, I’m dedicating a whole post to those lovelies). The below photos are from the outside of our luncheon the second day of the conference. The pink envelopes told us which table to sit at, and the left was the amazing arrangement that was right next to the escort cards.

So there were only three guys at the entire conference and they were each extremely talented. Jeremy Gilliam who is a fabulous destination photographer who lives in Dallas, as well as the two guys pictured below Ryan and Eric from Epic Motion, which is a Michigan based Wedding and Event videography company. Their videography skills are amazing, and to show you, just check out the recap video from Day 2 that they created down below (same day edit, phenomenal). All three of these guys will travel for your event, so definitely check them out! Oh and you may just find a blooper reel somewhere on the Epic Motion blog site if you want some more Eventology fun….
