It took some work, but I finally convinced my then-fiancé that we should hire a wedding planner. (“Who needs a wedding planner–we can do it ourselves!” he said. He is now Simply & Forever’s biggest fan.) We live in Michigan but I’m from St. Louis, so we flew to STL for a long weekend and interviewed eight prospective planners (I had also met with a few out-of-town wedding planners). While many of the meetings went well, Katie blew me away. Not only was she incredibly prepared for our meeting, but then the next day, she followed up with a digital design board that perfectly captured my vision. Katie understood exactly what my husband and I wanted for our wedding, and she immediately began recommending vendors and pulling everything together. Katie exuded such a level of confidence that we knew we could trust her judgment and creativity. We also knew that Katie would make this our wedding, and ours alone, and we appreciated that she wasn’t trying to fit our special day into a cookie-cutter formula.

Katie was a pro at executing all of our plans. She and her team created an event so perfect that my husband and I were actually able to feel like guests at our own wedding! She went above and beyond and took a personal interest in making sure everything was executed to perfection. From the wooden flower boxes she personally stained for our centerpieces, to the “Mr.” and “Mrs.” signs her husband made from reclaimed wood for the back of our chairs, Katie was so much more than a wedding planner. She was a calming influence when necesary, realistic where appropriate, and so organized that she somehow kept a crazy procrastinator like me on track. She was so communicative and attentive to every detail of our wedding that I honestly wouldn’t have known she was planning other weddings if
I hadn’t read these other reviews!

We feel truly lucky to have had the opportunity to work with Katie, and we are indebted to her for making our wedding something we will remember and treasure for a lifetime.
